eir Spiders Awards:
The 20th eir Spiders Awards take place in Dublin on 29th October and are considered a benchmark for excellence in web and app-based technology in Ireland. With a wide range of categories rewarding excellence in digital media, entrants are judged by an independent panel of industry experts.
Above all, being shortlisted for these awards is testament to our clients – Thorntons and GeoDirectory – who wholeheartedly joined forces with us in bringing these apps from concept through to market. Not to mention the imagination, hard work and dedication of our fantastic team here at Púca.
Regardless of the outcome we’re looking forward to a great night out!
About the apps:
The Thorntons Recycling App has been shortlisted for “Best Customer Service and Retention Campaign”. Púca came up with a simple solution for Thorntons customers that was an instant success both in terms of download rates and usage. The app provides a free to use service channel to customers for managing and topping up their waste collection account. The service is convenient, has “always on” availability and no call waiting.

The GeoFindIt App which we built for GeoDirectory has been shortlisted for the eir Spiders in the category “Best in Digital Geography and Location-based Services”, after already taking home an IRLOGI Space and Place award this month.
The GeoFindIt app’s new augmented reality setting (pictured above) allows users to see real-time overlays of house prices, directions and more. Click here to read the case study, or here to go the the GeoDirectory website for more information and to download the app.
