The Arnotts Gifts App aim was to transition from a printed gift guide to a measured digital platform. With Púca’s help, Arnotts created a new and innovative approach to entice shoppers in-store at the key Christmas retail period; through a unique mobile app experience. This was achieved with no-purchase necessary “Free Gifts” and competitions delivered via the “Countdown to Christmas” Advent Calendar themed mobile coupons, which were required at point of sale within Arnotts to be scanned.
Púca was set with the challenge of creating an ultimate gift guide featuring 1400 gift ideas using mobile technology.
The app ranked number one in the Irish app store lifestyle category within days of launching. During the campaign each user logged on an average of 11.96 times, with the mobile vouchers driving up to 150 people outside the store each morning.
Overall the app was a huge success for Arnotts, gaining wide coverage from the Irish Media, boosted online sales, increase social media followers and provided key consumer insights.
