The Simon Communities in Ireland work to prevent and address homelessness, supporting over 16,700 men, women and children each year. They provide services at all stages of homelessness and enable people to move to a place they can call home.
The Dublin Simon Community use Púca’s SMS system as part of their fundraising campaigns and needed to contact corporate donors about claiming tax back on larger donations. This needed to happen within a very short space of time to meet the tax deadline.
The Dublin Simon Community reached out to Púca about sending an SMS to donors. They needed a fast and reliable way to get the message out quickly and maximise the response rates.
SMS is a great way to reach donors immediately – 90% of messages read within the first 3 minutes and a 98% read rate. SMS also allows customers to reply easily with any information you need to gather, so a call to action campaign can be rolled out in a short space of time.
The campaign yielded a higher than expected response rate and enabled the charity to claim the tax back on many of the corporate donations made, which allowed The Dublin Simon Community to raise some extra much needed funds to support their services.
