Mobile coupon pilot successful for Toys 'R' Us
Púca has conducted a successful m-coupon pilot with Toys 'R' US in China, closing the loop between mobile user, brand and retailer.
Púca used the opt-in database of the giant shopping centre, Super Brand Mall in Shanghai, to send a mobile coupon for Toys ‘R’ Us to a specific target audience mothers in their 30s. The response rate was very high: 22pc of the target consumers replied to receive the mobile coupon.
Mobile couponing is the holy grail of mobile marketing. The objective is to provide attractive and relevant offers to consumers through their mobile phone, and offer them a way to make use of this offer at the point of sale. To be successful, the campaign must involve the point of sale (the retailer), who owns the consumer data. In addition, all details of the consumer journey must be thought through, because this type of experience is new for them.
