Púca has partnered with Ireland’s mobile phone operators Vodafone, O2, Meteor and 3 to facilitate an SMS text donation service to aid victims of earthquake in Haiti. All proceeds from the campaign will be donated to Concern and Unicef.

Púca are providing their services and mobile technology platform free of charge and all of the mobile operators, the Revenue Commissioners and Regtel have agreed to waive any fees and charges so that 100% of the monies raised from every premium text message will be donated to the charities to help with their relief efforts.

 

 

 

Irish mobile customers have a choice of two keywords they can text to 57500 to make a €5 donation:

 

Text CONCERN to 57500 to make a €5 Euro donation to Concern

 

Text UNICEF to 57500 to make a €5 Euro donation to Unicef

 

The campaign is currently active and will run until 31st January.  Similar initiatives in other counties have already raised tens of millions of dollars.
