Púca helps Today FM raise funds for SVP flood appeal
Púca is proud to have helped Ireland’s national independent radio station, Today FM, raise over €100,000 in an SMS charity appeal in aid of the St Vincent De Paul organisation (www.svp.ie).

The appeal, which was to help people affected by Ireland’s recent floods, was organised by the Ray Foley Show and involved listeners texting an SMS "pledge". Púca provided the SMS management as well as the call centre support services in order to complete the large volume of payment transactions that were processed.
In addition, an on-air "auction" was run where bidders texted the keyword BID followed by their bid amount with Púca’s SMS platform used to manage and collate the winning bids.
The Today FM appeal raised over €100,000 in total, far exceeding all expectations.
"The generous response to those in need has been very welcome and demonstrates the positive depth of community spirit in the country" said SVP National President, Mairead Bushnell. "In addition to working to help victims of the current flooding we estimate that we will be making around 100,000 home visits to offer assistance to families in need in the run-up to Christmas".
The SMS appeal is now closed but if you would like to help the work of St Vincent de Paul, please visit www.svp.ie
